I put this little group of goodies together for my kitchen…Ok, this isn’t the project that we’ve been working on, but isn’t it yummy looking. I got the 2 fabric muffins from Gina at “Cat Nap Inn Primitives” and the tart & little cinnamon rolls from Merrie at “Where the Blackbirds Sing”…I had them all in separate little tin pans and realized that they would make a bigger prim statement by being all together in a larger tin pan…and they smell so good!!
Now for the sneak peek of what is going on in my kitchen…

I’m am so excited that after many months of trying to figure out what Plan B was…that I did figure it out!! And the old fashion back splash fuax tin tiles that we had to order came in and we have started to put them up.
We had been waiting a long while for these to come in and when we hadn’t heard anything we called to ask. Oh yes, they were in and had been there for a month. (Why had no one called to tell us?) So, we go to pick them up and the computer shows on one screen that they are there, but another screen shows that they are not. (So do you have them or not?) They send us around back to pick them up. It takes a while, but they find them!! (Good thing they did, cuz by this point my hubby and I are becoming unhappy campers.) We have to stop at the security gate on the way out to make sure we have what we are suppose to. The guard scans our paper work and checks the box, then looks at her computer screen and says…I’m not sure how you are being able to pick these up, because my screen is showing that it was pick up over a month ago. (Now how is that possible when the big box in the back of our van has our name on it, plus we have the paper work in our hand and we are here picking it up now!!) We were then told that we would have to go in and see the manager because something was not right. We were very nice to the security guard as she was as confused as we were, but Gary told her that we really didn’t feel that we should have to sit around while they figured out what they had done wrong. We had our back splash that we order, the paper work showing we had paid for it and it had never been stamped that the order was picked up before now. She let us go agreeing with us and said that she would take care of it. (Yes, we think you will.) After talking about what we went through to get this back splash, we will think twice before we order from this big name home improvement store again.
I will share some photos of the kitchen as we work on it. Hope to have the back splash done sometime later this week. Then painting the cabinets are next on the to-do-list. I’m painting them Library Red and then antiquing them to give them that wonderful prim feel. Wish me luck…because I don’t want a Plan C.
