Hey Mommy, let me in…it’s cold out here!! We actually got some snow…about 1 to 2 inches. We have another storm watch for tomorrow, expecting 3 to 5 inches. Maybe we’ll get it and maybe we won’t…the last couple of times that we had storm watches, we didn’t get any snow. I just hope there is no more ice!
This next picture is of a brush in our back yard that about 30 littles birds have decided to make their home in for the winter. All the little dark spots are the birds…when I opened up the back door to take the picture, some of them flew up into a bigger tree. So there might be a lot more than 30 of them, maybe 40 to 50!!

I got the star painted on my rusty cow bell. I really like how it turned out…the star really shows up now.
I’ve gotten all the rolling pins base painted that I’ve been working on…5 large ones and 1 smaller one. I have the design on the smaller one and just need to do all the detail work on it. It is a prim doll that will have a flag on her collar, holding a prim sign, and a star. I had hope to have her finished today, but I had a big machine embroidery job that I had to get done. I’ll have pictures to share on my next post.
Thanks everyone for letting me know that my little prim light was an antique toaster. I actually had never seen one before I got this. I decided to do a little research on them. I found out that they were patented in 1909 and was sold for .87 cents up through 1923. The ones like what I have were sold in dime stores and hardware stores. There was also another kind made that was a lot heavy in weight and had the word toaster stamped into the top. These antique toasters are being sold for around $28 to $42 and are getting harder to find. My sister paid $9.00 for mine…I have a feeling if the thrift shop owner would of known what is was, he would of sold it for a lot more. (Lucky me!!) There is a company in Michigan that is still making a type of these toasters for use on a campfire. I’ve decided since my prim light is actually an antique toaster that it will go in my kitchen.
For those that have ask about how the kitchen is coming along….we haven’t had a chance to get back in there to work on it since Laura moved out. Just too much other stuff going on. Laura and her boyfriend are coming tomorrow for dinner and she is going to go through a few things that we are going to store away for her. We were planning to work on the kitchen this weekend…but it is Kimberly’s birthday on Saturday(can’t believe my oldest is turning 28). I usually make dinner and a cake….unless Mark and her are going out to dinner, but than I would be watching Josie. Hmmm…guess I better see what the plan is.
Until next time… Cindy
