~Thrift Shop Finds~ And ~Halloween Is On My Mind~
Wow…time sure flies by!! I can’t believe that it is July 1st already. Where did June go? I’ve been such a busy bee that it flew right by…and I have to say thank-you to all the ladies that placed orders with me and have allowed me to share my handmade goodies with you. I truly love what I do!!
July is when I start planning out what I want to make for my fall show season…so I’ve had Halloween and Fall creations on my mind for the last few days. Think the nice low temperutes we are having has given me Fall fever. Our high today is going to be about 69 degrees!! It does seem strange to be making patriotic items for customers and all the while having Halloween ideas running around in my head.(lol…) That might be a fright to see!! I’ve actually been looking through Fall/Halloween patterns while the embroidery machine has been stitching out other prim goodies.
Well…that got me thinking that I should share some of the Fall/Halloween goodies that I made for shows last year. Some of them…I might just redo again this year, but not sure just yet.
This was a OOAK that I sold on eBay last fall and I will not be making any of these this year. I just loved how this prim kitty-cat turned out!!
Will most likely be making more of this little prim pumpkin ornie/pin…I sell out everytime I make them.
Also will be making more of this fall leave pin…it is a popular one that sells out.
Not making any more of these prim Halloween star make-do’s, but have a few left from last year.
I really like how these wood stacked pumpkins turned out. Not sure if I’m making any more of these cause I can’t remember if I have any left to paint up for this year or not. Here’s a pic of another one I made.
Well…that’s all the Fall/Halloween pictures for now, but I’ll have lots more prim and fall goodies to share as I start making things for my shows. I’m going to go alot more primitive on my creations this year than I did last year, so be sure to come back and see what I’m up to.

I stopped by the GW on Saturday while I was out running errands and I actually found some goodies!! There really hasn’t been much there for the last few weeks…so I was thrilled to find a few things.
I couldn’t pass up this small basket…it is handmade and signed by the basket-weaver. Cost~~~.59 cents!!
Just loved these primitive signs!! Trying to decide if I want to hang them together like in this photo or put them in two different places on the wall. Cost~~~$1.00 each!!
This oval wood band-box is a good size… it is unfinished, so I’m going to paint and distress it. Not sure just yet what color I want it to be. Cost~~~.89 cents!! Thought it was a pretty good day at the GW….and I spent under $4.00!!

Guess What?…I’ve been told that I can share my great news after today. So I thought that I might have a little fun with my news and have a giveaway. If any of you would like to take a guess and leave me a comment on this post as to what you think my news might be and you guess correctly…I will take all those names and pick a winner that will get a handmade goodie from me. I will share my wonderful news on my next post…and announce who the winner of the giveaway is. So you have up until then to leave your comment about what you think it is. Can’t wait to hear from all of you!!
Until next time…. prim blessings, Cindy

I just love your designs Cindy. I wish I had 1/100th of your talent. You hit the jackpot at the GW. I can only hope to be that lucky one day on one of my little ventures there.
My first thought on your news was you were going to be a grammy so I better stick with that.
Can’t wait to hear what your actual good news is no matter what it is.
Have a great day,
AMY

Hmmm, what could your BIG news be about!?! Let me think about this…. Could your daughter be getting married? Could you be working on yet another BIG BUSINESS venture? Could you be featured in a craft magazine. Oh geesh, I am just not sure, but you know you can add my name to the hat for your giveaway. Can’t wait to see what you are giving away next. I also wanted to tell you that I took my bag that you made me and put all of my Judy Condo books, Country Samplers and a few Mercantile Gatherings in it and took it to the beach. I was so loving the fact that I had such a cute prim bag to carry my books and magazines around in. Thank you again!! I just love it….ok, now who wouldn’t love it!?!
Hugs,
Lisa

Hey Cindy my first thought was that you were going to be a Grandma again! Am I right? My second guess it that you are getting a new puppy. You really want to keep us in suspence, geez, heheee! Love the little pumpkin girl pin, I can see why they sell out adorable! Take care!

Hi Cindy! Oh, I’m so excited that you might be actually coming to Michigan! By August we should have our fall goodies out in the shop and lots of other new things. Can’t wait! Be sure to let me know when you might be coming so I’m sure to be there.
Please throw my name in the hat. Everyone seemed to guess that you are going to be a new grandma, so maybe I’ll try something else. How about that you got your new craft room all done?
I’ve been working on Halloween too, sure seems funny at the beginning of July! Lots to get done by the first of August though.
Hope the weather warms up and you have a wonderful 4th! Dawn
