I can’t believe that my first show of the season is only about 10 days away. I wish that I felt more ready then I do…it has been a slow go at making things this week. I do feel better from that nasty fall that I took, but my right hand still hurts and about two days ago it turned all those pretty colors of blue, purple, and yellow. However, I finally got my Fall towels all done and I thought that you might enjoy seeing them.

I’ve had Josie some this week as my DD is in CA on a business trip. I could tell when I picked her up from school that she wasn’t feeling well…turns out she had a fever of 103.3. We called her daddy at the firehouse and he got ahold of Josie’s doctor. They had us bring her right in…turns out she had a bad sinus infection. I happy to say that she is feeling much better today…almost back to normal. Even though she wasn’t feeling the greatest, my little sweetie said she wanted to help her grandma get some crafting done…she stuffed 11 fabric pumpkins for me!! I had to adjust them a bit, but she did a really good job on them and it sure was a big help to me since my hand still hurts.
I learned something on the first day of Fall that I just had to share with you. My friend Linda (the one that lives close to me) sent me a text that said: “It’s the Equinox. Eggs will stand on their end!!” So of course, Josie and I had to try it out and guess what….we couldn’t believe it, but the eggs did stand up on their ends!! Pretty Amazing!! Josie took the photo of the two eggs to share with her science class the next day.
I have one other thing to share before I end this post. A lot of my blogging friends had ask to see a picture of me since I lost the 40 lbs. (almost 45 lbs. now) and got my haircut. So, here is the new me…Mr. D took this for me on our front porch and the big star you see in the background in hanging on the chimney.

Hey Cindy, I love the new you!! love short hair!! easy to take care of…glad you are feeling better from your fall..too cool on the eggs…and of course I love your towels that you finished…was feeling pretty good..but now am stuffed up and can’t stop coughing..hope I get some sleep..take care and talk to you soon..:)

Cindy you look beautiful! All the hard work paid off, right! It is a never ending battle isn’t it. Five years ago I lost 65 lbs and kept it off for four years and now it seems to creep slowly back. I did my exercise cd this morning and hopefully I can get back on track. You’re lucky to have little Josie helping you I miss when my kids were little how much they used to help. Oh look at you, You look WONDERFUL! way to go girl. You are younger then me. I will be 46 in jan and not looking forward to it. Could stand to loose 40 lbs.
I didn’t know that about the eggs either. How neat.

Thanks for the sweet comment, but actually, I’m not younger than you…I’m 50!! The almost 45 that you read in my post is that I’ve almost lost 45 lbs now, but I sure wish that it was that I’m almost 45 instead of almost 51!!! LOL….

Congrats on the weight loss, good going. I was finally losing mine and now it is cold, so back to eating again, lol. Great haircut, I am still too chicken to cut mine short, but tired of too much hair. Love the towels, need to make myself a nice rack for the kitchen, then I can make some for me.
