I can hardly wait for this coming Sunday to get here…as it is the start of my show season for this year. This coming Sunday I will be at “Oktoberfest” in Urbana and the following weekend I will be at the “Sauerkraut Festival” in Waynesville. I’ve been working on 32 little pillow tucks and hope to finish getting them stuffed tomorrow. I’ll share some of those with you on my next post in a few days.
I have almost all the fabric pumpkins done and thought that I would show you a few more of them.

I think I like these better than the first ones that I made…and I’m pretty sure that one or two of these are not going to make it to the show on Sunday. Why?…because I might just have to keep one or two for myself. I used to always take everything that I made to my shows with the thinking that I would just make myself another one at a later date…the only problem there was that I never did. So now if I really like something that I make for my shows…I make sure to keep one for me.

I’ve made so many pumpkins that I believe I’ve made a pumpkin patch!! (36 of them) Hope everyone likes them as much as I do.

I’m not sure if I ever mention that Mr. D works for a health department…and they are getting ready for their swine flu shot clinic. Needless to say, things have been very hectic for all of them at work. Well…while standing in the check-out lane at the store, Mr. D and I saw the perfect thing to bring a little fun to their busy work day. We just happened to see the perfect cupcakes on the cover of cooking magazine. Oh, yes we did (LOL…) and Mr. D & I made ~Piggy Cupcakes~!! I heard that they were a big hit and everyone loved them.

Hope everyone has a wonderful “Fall” week…and I’ll be back in a few days to share the pillow tucks and hopefully some other goodies that I want to get made. I’ll have to see how my week goes as I still need to get a few cloths made for the displays in my booth. Since I’m no longer making embroidered/appliqued clothing, we needed to get a new display to replace the clothing rack. I’m happy to say that we did find some…but I was even happier when we found this on sale…
… a little red Paula Deen coffee pot!! It matches the pots & pans the Mr. D got me for Christmas last year. I just love it sitting on my stove top…it makes me smile every time I go into the kitchen!!
Until next time….. blessings, Cindy

Oh Cindy! Those pumpkins look awesome!
I don’t think you will have any to bring home…no left overs for you!
Isn’t the weather here in OHIO just wonderful? I hope that when you have your shows the weather improves!
I bet those cupcakes really eased the stress that is about to come upon the Health Dept. I do not envy their jobs one bit! How great that you and your husband have such a great sense of humor!
Have a great week!

The pumpkins look great………………I’m sure they will sell very well for you at your shows. Speaking of shows…………….I have got to get busy myself! I need a couple of those cupcakes for energy!
Don’t you just love Paula Deen stuff? I sure do. I was in her restaurant in Savannah when we passed through there last year and it was fantastic!

Your pumpkins are darling. I see why you are keeping some of them. I would have a hard time parting with any of them if I was you. Those piggy cupcakes are a hoot. What a funny thing to send to the Health Department. By any chance do you remember what magazine they were in. My daughter is studying medicine (biology), and in all of her classes they are discussing the swine flu. I would love to make her some of those cupcakes. That coffee pot was a great find too. Red is just so cheerful. Blessings to you.

Hi Cindy, you must be in Ohio! I’m in southwest Ohio (Miamisburg) and have participated in the Urbana show and in the Sauerkraut Festival. I don’t do those shows anymore but they were sure fun. In what part of Ohio do you live? Love your pumpkins and hope you have great shows!
