~Machine Embroidered Holiday Dish Towels~

Wow…has it been a long day!! I’ve been at the first day of my Holiday Gift Show and just wanted to show you the holiday dish towels that I made for this show. I had about 25 to 30 towels…so I displayed some from the window display, hung some on the booth wall, and laid others on the table tops and shelves.

They have sold really well. Here is some close-ups of the designs that I put on them.

The show was very slow today and we never really got the big crowd that we usually have on Friday. I hope that Saturday is much better…cuz if not, it is going to be another very long day.  Also not nearly as many crafters/vendors…one room has about half the booth spaces not filled at all. The room we are located in is the fullest, but we still have several empty spaces that did not get filled. This show is held in a very large arena complex and is in its 26th year. Kind of sad to see it this way as it has always been known as the big holiday show that kicks off the Christmas season. Many are wondering if there will be a 27th year.

Well, it’s late here…so I’m off to get some rest. I’ll be back in a few days to let you know how the show turns out. Until then….    blessings, Cindy

~Snowman Ornie, Rooster Lamp & The Country Christmas Show Pics~

Isn’t this the cutest little snowman clothes pin ornie!! I purchased this from a fellow crafter at the show on Saturday. I can’t wait to hang him from a branch on my snowman tree. The show was good, but the crowd was all gone by noon around the time that the Ohio State vs Michigan game started…which made for a very long afternoon. Here’s a few pics from my booth…the set up was about the same as the other Christmas show, but with a lot more fuzzy snowmen in the booth.

The snowmen were a hit again, but I still have some left to take to show this coming weekend. I almost sold out of the Christmas/Winter jewelry that I had and sold all the snowmen pillows but one. I’m also low on dish towels and was busy today embroidery more of them. I’ve been doing some prim Christmas/Winter designs and I love how they are turning out. Hopefully, I’ll have some pictures to share in a few days.

Oh….just look at what was delivered to my house this past week.

I had ordered this little rooster lamp to sit in the corner on the kitchen counter by the old cubby that I picked up from the prim shop by my sister’s house.  Hmmm…might need  penny rug for that rooster to sit on.

The cubby is a mustard color that has been sanded to show the red paint underneath…so the lamp should look really good sitting beside it. I can’t wait to get it in place on the counter and decorated, but it will have to wait until after this weekend when my show season is finally over.

Well, it late here…so I’m off to get some rest as I have another busy day of embroidery tomorrow. Until next time….     blessings, Cindy

~Finishing Goodies For The Country Christmas Show~

Sorry that I’ve not been around this week as I been very busy getting things ready for “The Country Christmas Boutique” show that is this Saturday. I feel like I have so much catching up to do and I promise that I will be back to visiting all of you soon. I’ve only managed to get around to a few of your blogs this week and have missed reading what you all have been up to.

Remember on my last post, I mentioned that I had gone to a country shop that was right around the corner from my sister’s new home…well, here are the goodies that I picked up.

I have wanted an old cubby for my kitchen for a long time and couldn’t find one…so, I was thrilled to find it. Now, I just have to find the time to get set up on the counter and put some goodies in it.

I also got this wire star that has rose-hips in it and does it ever smell good. I hung it from the knob of an old chest-of-drawers that is in my dining room. I love this old piece of furniture…my MIL purchased it at an auction and refinished it for me as a gift to go in my youngest DD’s nursery 23 year ago. It is one of my favorite pieces of old furniture that we have in our home. It is a great little piece to have in the dining room…I have it filled with tablecloths, placemats, napkins, and candles.

Well, I had better go as hear these little guys calling me to finish them up.

I made 18 snowmen this week and all I have left to do is put on their eyes, noses, and  the snowflakes that go on the scarf. (Couldn’t find more rusty stars, so this bunch is getting rusty snowflakes instead.)

Oh, before I go…I have to show you a picture I took of my geranium that is still in bloom on my front porch. I’m so shocked that is still in bloom this late in November. I think that is likes where it is sitting and has been somewhat protected from the frost and cold nights that we have had.

This is what it looked like a week ago and now it has 11 flower blooms on it. I’m going to leave it out there as long as it is still in bloom….curious to see if it will still be in bloom on Thanksgiving.

Take care everyone and I’ll be back to post photos of the Christmas show either on Saturday evening or Sunday. Until then….       blessings, Cindy
