Is all this snow ever going away? I’m so ready for Spring…but I’ve heard that another snowstorm is coming our way this weekend. We have matched the 2nd highest total for snowfall in the month of February and if we get as much snow as they are calling for with this new approaching storm…we might just reach or pass the highest amount of 32 inches that was set back in 1910. I so hope they are wrong and it misses us!!
Since I might be stuck in the house again for several days…I’m going out thrifting and to lunch with a friend today. We are even going to go by a couple of our favorite prim shop too. Maybe I’ll find some prim Spring items to display in my home.
I’ve been busy finishing up some surprise gifts and have them all ready to ship out. Sure wish I could show them to you, but I have to wait until they get to where they are going as the receivers read my blog. So I will share those photos with you sometime next week. I’m also working on some goodies for two new babies that will be born soon…two of my friends will be grandma’s soon. My friend Kath will be a grandma for the first time…of a baby boy and her daughter’s baby shower is on Sunday. (Hope that snowstorm holds off until after the shower.) And my friend Linda will be a grandma for the 3rd time in about a week or so…but it will be her first granddaughter. I’ll share the gifts I’m making for the little ones next week also.
Right before I started the big EMS embroidery job…I had gone out to a couple of prim shops and picked up a few goodies, but never got around to sharing them since I was so busy embroidering. Got another big job coming up for another local EMS department at the beginning of March. More on that later, but now on to my newest prim finds.
~Mini Light Twig Branches~
This little round table sits right inside our front door and I had wanted some kind of light there for some time now. When I saw these lighted twig branches on display at the prim shop, I knew that they would be the perfect thing to put in the ironstone pitcher that sits in the entryway. Hmmm…looks like I need to hide that cord behind the curtain.
~Prim Basket with Homespun Bow~
I picked up this basket to hold some of Peyton’s things for when he is here at grandma’s house. Think it would be good for his little diapers or maybe his wash clothes and burping pads.
~Reproduction Salt-Glaze Crock Jug~
I think that this was my favorite find that day. I have it sitting in the bottom cubby of the antique jeweler’s cupboard next to some folded blankets…that we’ve been using on these cold snowy days.
Until next time, wishing for warmer days….. blessings, Cindy

Love all your new finds especially the jug. I have seen those lighted

The basket would be great for holding Peytons diapers (or nappies as we call them here in the UK). Thankyou Cynthia for your sympathys over our recent loss, it was a sad day, but the service was beautiful. Grandad would have been pleased.

I love your house and the big star that is on the brick. We are going to be painting the outside of our house sometime this year, then I will be looking for something just like that to put above my garage.
Those lighted twig branches are so neat!! I have never seen anything like them before! They look wonderful in your ironstone pitcher.
I like how the homespun is wove throughout your basket. I’m a homespun lover, it is ALL over my home! That is a neat idea. I’ll have to try that sometime if I have the patience. He he!
