I’m so happy…we aren’t getting a snowstorm afterall. Just getting some light rain tonight and tomorrow, then some snow flurries. I saw my first robin a few days ago and believe it or not…a baby bird today. Sooo…….Spring must not be far away!!
I actually couldn’t believe it when I went out to my van after the baby shower and there sat this little baby bird right by the back tire. I walked right up to him and he didn’t move. Now, picture me talking to this little fellow…telling him that he has to move because I need to leave and I don’t want to run over him. As I tired to shoo him out-of-the-way, he barely lifted up off the pavement. At one point, he went completely under the van and I’m still talking to him…telling him that he is going the wrong way and to get out from under there. I’m sure that I must have looked silly talking to this little bird that had no idea what I saying. Guess he thought he was in the right place…being he was a baby bird and we’ve were at a baby shower. I’m happy to report that he did finally move to a safer place and I was able to head home.
Speaker of the baby shower…here is a peek at the goodies I made.
~Burping Cloths~
~Bibs~
~Receiving Blankets~
I hadn’t done any machine embroidery for babies in a very long time and I loved the way everything turned out. The mommy-to-be loved them too!! I’m still working on the little baby girl gifts and will share those in a few days when I get them all finished.
The surprise gifts that I sent out on Friday should get to where they are going tomorrow…so, I will be back soon to share those with you. Until then….. prim blessings, Cindy

Hi Cindy! I see that you are a follower of my blog so I had to come over and meet you! I absolutely LOVE the embroidery for the baby gifts!! So very cute! I’m sure the mom loved them too. Those are the best kinds of presents. They will be passed on from generation to generation.
Nice to meet you and I’m looking forward to getting to know you better in future posts. =]

Hi Cindy! You’ve found a new feathered friend! It’s good that spring is showing signs of being on it’s way but for new borns,it must be freezing cold for them! All the lambs are out in the fields here and the poor things are snuggled up tight to their Mums to keep warm. You’ve come up trumps again with your embroidered gifts. They are beautiful.I love the colours. We don’t have baby showers here.It must be a fun time for the mum-to-be.How long before the birth do you have them?
Hope the family are well.Hugs.Lynne

All the baby gifts look wonderful but I love the monkeys the best! That’s my grandson’s nickname.
I feel bad that I haven’t pulled my embroidery machine out in over a year. I need to get motivated! Heck… need it to warm up more so I can set up my craft room upstairs. Its too cold up there now.
We noticed a lot of robins Saturday when we took our drive… maybe spring is closer than we think???

I can see you talking to that birdie, sounds like something I’d do, LOL!!! Your gifts are so adorable and I love those monkeys, too cute:) I haven’t seen any robins yet, of course they’d be buried under all the snow here:(

Those gifts are too cute. I love the stacked animals. Where did you get those designs? I’ve never seen that one before. I just recently dug out my embroidery machine after it sat idle for over a year.. my gammy baby would love those animals.. lol. Have a great week!!

Good Morning Cindy,
What beautiful things you made for the baby…I love the jungle/animal theme. Our son and wife did this for Aidan as well…I think it’s something they can grow with for a couple years quite nicely.
I would have been talking to that little bird as well – doesn’t it know it’s way too cold for him out there.

Good Morning!
Love the wonderful baby gifts you created. Monkeys are too cute.
Glad we didn’t get the snow, too! Snow here is finally starting to melt.
A baby bird! It seems too cold and early for them. Hope he made it
back to his warm nest. Take care and hope that Spring is just around
the corner!
Hugs,
Cheryl

All the baby gifts are adorable. The blankets are especially cute, and they look so soft. I am sure any baby would be proud to wrapped up in one of them.
