~Loving The Color White and Giveaway #2 Winner~

Remember when I showed you this picture of my decorating ideas folder?

Well, I’ve been going through it and putting the pages into plastic sleeves and then into a notebook. Much easier to look through them this way. I noticed when going through them…that over the years, I had saved a lot of photos with white country decor in them. And I realized that I’m loving the white country “prim” look. Here are a couple more peeks of some pictures in my notebook. I believe that these pictures were from one of my Country Samplers some years back.

I have the pattern for the bunny that is in the above picture. I think I’m going to have to get it out of my pattern box and make it!! I also have an old window, but it is not as pretty as the one in the picture below. This one is hanging in their dining room, but mine is going to hang in our living room.

I’m so enjoying going through my decorating folder and will share more picture as I get them all organized into my notebooks.

~Went To A Pub, Giveaway #1 Winner, And Giveaway #2~

My busy week is winding down, but I sure have had a lot of fun. My sister and I went out on Thursday evening…it was just raining when we left, but by the time we got back here to the house…the rain had changed to freezing rain. She had a very scary drive home to her house. What should have taken her about 15 minutes…took her about 35 minutes. And by Friday morning, we had snow on the ground and lots of ice on the roads. All the schools in our county were closed…so Josie got to start her Spring break early. My mom and I had to wait until all the ice melted on the roads before we could get together. I’ll share more about my time with my mom and my sister on my next post.

This evening we took our youngest DD out to dinner to celebrate her graduating from college. Our oldest DD and her husband went with us too. Josie was at a friend’s birthday party and Peyton went to visit his other grandma and grandpa. We let Laura pick where she wanted to go for dinner and it was to a British Pub…

The food was very good, there was live music, and a lot of laughter. We had a really nice time with our kids.  Of course, I just had to take some pictures to share with all of you.

They had some great lights on the ceiling.

Not to mention the awesome throne chairs.

And some wonderful wall decor. This picture is of what was on the wall above the curved booth that we were sitting in.

It was the first time that we had eaten there, but I’m sure that we will go again.

~Busy Week & Giveaway #1~

I feel like I’m going in fast mode this week…actually, things have not slowed down since before last weekend. I’ve had something going on everyday and will have through Monday of next week. As you know, we had family in from Tenn. over the weekend and I watched my grandkids on Saturday.

On Monday…I did housework.

Tuesday…I spent the day with my youngest daugther…we went to lunch and ran errands together.

Wednesday…I went to the hair salon to get me hair done. (I don’t have gray hair anymore!!)

Today/Thursday…a friend is stopping by to bring me a birthday gift and then in the afternoon…my sister is taking me out to eat and shopping for my birthday.

Friday…I spending the day with my mom; we always spend a day together near my birthday.

Now, we are up to Saturday…my youngest is graduating from The Art Institute of Pittsburg with a graphic arts degree. She went to school on-line while working full-time in the hair salon. We are taking her out to dinner with  family to celebrate.

Sunday…I’m resting. And on Monday…Mr. D is taking me away for the day for my birthday. Makes me tired just thinking about all of it. LOL… But I know that I’m so blessed to be spending time with those that I love and are so special to me.

I have made many friends that are near and far…and it is because of all of you that I’ve made it to my 200th post and almost to my 2nd year blogiversary. Thank you, my kindred friends, for sharing a part of you with me!!

If you love primitive decorating…you will love this book!!  All you have to do to enter the drawing is to leave a comment on this post. I’m asking that you don’t post it on your blog as I want this giveaway to be for those that follow me.
