Decisions, Decisions!!…..Not only do I need to make a decision on this new machine embroidery program that I’m trying out before maybe purchasing it…but I need to decide on which wallpaper border to order to replace the old one that needs to come down.
Do I go with the border that looks like white chippy weathered wood?
Or do I go with the border that looks like antique beadboard?
This will be replacing the border that is in our living room and dining room, which are open to each other. When we built our first home…I decorated with the “cute” country style that was big in the 80′s. However, when we moved here 17 years ago…I wanted a change and decorated in the country cottage style. This border looked wonderful then, but it is not working with my decorating style that I have now and hasn’t been for a few years now. I haven’t shown it to you in any pictures before, because it really looked bad with my prim stuff. I have to say that it doesn’t look as bad with the farmhouse romance look as it did with the prims…but it still has to go!!
Ok, I’ll give you a peek of what it looks like…
Ok, one more peek….
But now that you’ve peeked…I need your opinion on which border would look better. The white chippy weathered wood border would make the white items stand out more, but the antique beadboard border would make the wood items stand out more. Oh my…..Decisions, Decisions!!
Until next time….. blessings, Cindy

I think the white chippy weathered board Cindy it would make all of your items stand out more. If you go with the wood I think you would get sick of it sooner and the wood items you have would just blend in to it. Thanks again for you nice comments on my blog. Hope all is well with you and you are enjoying springtime. Hugs!

Here’s another thought……..why don’t you just give yourself a break from a wall border when you get the other one down before hurrying to put another one up?
That may give you a chance to really get some perspective of what you want. You may decide to not put any up at this time.
I am anxious to hear more of this new embroidery software too.

I say neither Cindy! LOL I am voting for no border at all! I love the look of just a painted wall with maybe some crown molding!

I say wait a bit too on the wallpaper border until you really know for sure. Too much work stripping it if you don’t like it. Have a wonderful weekend.

Cindy,
I’m with some of them, go to a painted wall, but if you need help making a decision on the border…..I say the white one, I like how it will look in your house.
Love you, Linda

I am agreeing with those who say try no border for awhile!! You have s many gorgeous antiques and sewing notions that they could be the star of the room.
Poor Chloe – I hope she has found a friend to play with! hehehe – so cute!!!

Looks like you don’t need my input, but you’re getting it anyway. Haha! If you were going to use a border, I say white also. It seems to me from your previous posts that you are leaning towards that color anyway. I think they have good ideas… try it without a border and see what you think. I’m so bad about making decisions! I started thinking about a red to paint my dining room last March and I’m still debating. I stink!
I know whatever you decide, it will look good because you have so many neat prim things! I hope you’re able to make a decision soon.
