I did some Spring cleaning…which lead to some prim farmhouse romance style tweaking. I dusted and rearranged the shelf in the kitchen…to get more of my white pitchers added to my collection, but I think it still needs a little more tweaking before I’m done with it. I took just about everything off the book shelves, the tavern shelf, and the table tops in the living room…and am rearranging my gatherings. It is looking sort of bare in there…however, my dining room table is covered with everything that is just waiting to find their new place in the living room. Who needs to eat…when you need to tweak!! LOL…
I’ll share some photos when I get it all done, but I thought that you might like a little peek. Remember this sheep that I got from my friend (Cheryl) for my birthday.
Well, he has found a home on the book shelf in the living room and he also got a touch of farmhouse romance added to him. When Cheryl gave me this little fellow…she mentioned that she thought I might want to put a blanket on his back and I loved that idea. So, I gave him a crocheted doily blanket…then added a round tag with the word “friendship” and a jeweled flower. Also added a little prim stained tag behind his rusty star. I love how it turned out and hope that Cheryl does too.
I really like how the sheep looks with the mason jar lamp and the old spool with crocheted lace on it. Oh, the two quilts on the shelf below were made by Mr. D’s grandmother…and are very special to both of us. We do use them occasionally…mostly when company comes to visit. Josie loves to cover up with them…her mama and aunt does too!!
Hope everyone is having a great week. I’m taking my mom out shopping for her birthday today and I’m picking up Josie from school on Thursday. She is really missing her and I just spending time together doing whatever we wanted…so I planned a girls day just for the two of us. A late lunch… a little shopping…and back to my house to make a craft or play a game.
Until next time…. blessings, Cindy

Cindy,
I had to drop by and say hello. I saw your commet on Lynne’s blog and found my way here. I named our only daughter Cynthia Lee, I don’t think I’ve come across anyone else with that name combination. Now I’m off the check out the rest of your blog.

We call our daughter Cindy, unless we are trying to get her attention or she’s in hot water, then it’s Cindy Lee.
When I was in grammar school, there was this pretty little girl with long brown hair, worn in braids down to her waist. Everyone loved her. When invited to her house, we would sit in her Dutch Style kitchen in booths and her mother would serve us a special treat. She moved and I never saw her again, but she was special and I never forgot her. So I named my daughter Cynthia after her. Lee was a second choice, we first chose Lanor, but it wasn’t a saints name, so the priest told us that we had to change it. And she was named Cynthia Lee. Oh by the way….you are Cynthia Lee Designs….CLD – she is Cynthia Lee Degrassi……CLD
I’ll be back……

While you are tweaking, have you thought about moving furniture around to help fit
your dream cupboard into the living room? Love your sheep and how dressed up
he is. Can’t wait for more pics. Love ya and tell everyone hi, Linda

Prim farmhouse romance… I’m so glad you found your style. I know you were debating about it… who hasn’t? I haven’t known you very long, but I really think this fits you to a tee! =]
I love what you’ve done to your sweet little sheep! That is definitely prim farmhouse romance. Cute idea! It looks cute where you have it.
I hope you enjoyed your girls day. Sounds like lots of fun!
