~New Cupboard~

Finally got a cupboard for the dining-room. It is not the really big one that I showed on a past post here on my blog. As much as I really wanted that one…it was just too large to fit in our dining-room. We went to IKEA on Sunday and this is what I found…

This cupboard fits perfect in there!! It is very tall and narrow which is what this room needed. If you look closely, there is blue tape on the floor…that is where  we taped down the carpet until we can finish getting it ripped out.  We are taking it up a little at a time and we don’t want to take everything out of the living room and dining room while removing the old carpet…just moving furniture as we get to those areas. You can see the hardwood floor underneath the cupboard and it looks like the wood floors are in great condition.

Still working on getting the cupboard decorated the way I want it, but I’m liking how it is looking so far.

Love that I can actually store while displaying some of my dishes in there…now I have some extra space in one of my kitchen cabinets. I’m sure that I’ll be sharing more pictures as I’m still tweaking what I want to put in this cupboard. Not to mention…that I haven’t figure out what I want to display on the top of it.

Also want to give you a peek at a couple of the goodies that I sent to Gina of “Cat Nap Inn Primitives” for her birthday. I made her the pincushion and the spool with the tape measure ribbon & charms on it for her sewing room.

I sent her a few other goodies too…she posted about them on her blog and showed where she displayed them if you want to hop over and take a look.

Until next time….        blessings, Cindy

I love your cupboard. I never realized that Ikea had such wonderful things. I guess I’m going to have to venture out one of these days and check out the one in my area.

I think your cupboard is perfect Cindy. You have a very nice display in it. Very pleasing to the eye. I saw all the goodies you sent Gina. I know she was one happy girl. My favorite was the spool with the cloth tape measure and charms. I told her I might have to copy your idea. I thought it was so clever. Enjoy your week.

I love that cabinet! So far it’s beautiful, I love the way your white shines against the dark of the cabinet. Loving that stack of boxes by the cabinet too!

How fortunate for you to have beautiful wood floors under the carpet. I want to take up the carpet in our living room but I just know I’m going to be disappointed. I really should see if I can take a peek. You just never know what’s under there (unless you built it. ha)

What wonderful things you made for Gina! I love the spool with the tape measure ribbon that Darla made for me. It’s in my laundry room and every time I pass by it, I think of her and all my wonderful blog friends. I’m sure Gina loves it and will think of you every single time she sees it!

Oh my, I’ve been so busy with end of the school year stuff that I completely forgot about the towels! I’m so sorry!! I still want them. I’ll be working tomorrow but I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
