Just wanted to share with you my visitor at my front door the other morning…
a virgin tiger moth…He was at the front door when I open it up on Monday when the grandkids came over for the day.
And the greeter at the grocery store on Wednesday evening…
a blue heron…There is a pond out in front of Kroger’s and this fellow was greeting shoppers as we turned into the parking lot.
And this is the unwelcome guest that got into my daughter’s brand new car yesterday…
Not sure what kind of bird this is… thinking it might be a young one or maybe a house wren. On the days that I watch the grandkids…my daughter comes over on her lunch hour to eat with the kids. As she stepped out of the car…this little fellow flew right into her and then landed in the floor-board of her new car. She tried to get him out of the car and he flew up under the steering wheel and went up into the dashboard. We were not sure if he would be able to find his way out and about an hour later…just as we were thinking that the car might have to go to the dealership to have the dashboard removed to get him out…he came out on his own. He so kindly posed for this photo on the driver’s door before he flew off into our pine tree.
I should tell you about the other unwelcome guests that we’ve had in the 17 years that we’ve lived here… the racoon that had 5 babies in our chimmey…the squirrel that fell into our fireplace and burnt his tail…the squirrel that was under the sofa and came out after my feet…the black bird that flew in the house… and the snake that was hanging out in our dining-room. But that’s another story for another day!! LOL…
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Until next time….. blessings, Cindy

Hi Cindy! Just wanted to stop in and answer your question: I purchased the magazine at my local grocery store! It might have just hit the newstand that day and is getting around to other stores by now – this was Thursday night I purchased! I finished it this morning I was still pleased with it! I came home today after being gone for 2hrs to find that a very busy robin built a nest in my wreath next to the front door! I should have been happy because I heard somewhere it’s good luck BUT I wasn’t!!!lol Glad the little bird came out of your daughters new car and the squirrel and snake in your house just made me shiver at the thought of the squirrel coming at your feet! Chills!lol Sincerely, Jeannette

Oh YUCK! a squirrel coming after your feet???!!! I would soil myself.
The bird does look like a wren…cute little thing.
Don’t you just hate critters that belong outside…coming inside? WE had a bat in our bedroom last summer. It grazed my cheek in the dark. I made my hubby shoot it with a pellet gun as it hung over our bed the next morning.
eeeeuuuwwwww!!
I can deal with the moth.
