~Pics From The Country Gathering Show~

Finally getting to share with you the pictures from the country show that I went to on Saturday with my sister and a friend. We had a lot of fun even though it rained…then quit…then rained…then quit…then rained! A little rain or a lot of rain wasn’t going to stop us gals from going to this show!!

There were lots of country and primitive goodies to look at…

I was looking for more firkins/sugar buckets to add to my ever-growing stack of them…but I didn’t see any the size that I needed. They were sizes that I already had…that’s ok, cause I had fun looking at them anyways! I was also looking for anything white, weathered, and chippy to go with my country farmhouse style.

Here’s a few photos that I took of the show…Enjoy!!

This next picture is of my favorite booth…it was like you had stepped into a little log cabin.

My sister purchased a coverlet and an old framed piece of floral cross-stitched. My friend picked up an old game board and a primitive mammy doll.

And this is what I got…

a reproduction pair of old-looking scissors…my sister purchased a pair too. Mine is hanging in my sewing/craft room. Yes, I’ve used them and they work great!!

Best be going for now…will be babysitting the grandkids again tomorrow. My son-in-law’s mother had her face reconstruction surgery today and everything went well and she will be coming home tomorrow. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes for her.

I have actually been doing a little embroidery in the evenings after the grandkids leave and hope to share pics of what I have been working on with you on my next post. Until then…..         blessings, Cindy

I always love to stop by here and remember the good times when I was into the Primitive things.
I always loved looking for anything old and full of history.
Even though I’ve changed my style I still love the primitives….most of my basement houses the ones I couldn’t bear to let go!
Have a wonderful …primitive kinda day!

Hi Cindy, I’m so sorry about “the other grandma” and her accident. What a horrible thing! Hope she recovers quickly. I can’t believe we were at the same show and didn’t know it! We got there about 10 or 10:30. The show was beautiful, but so darn expensive! I can’t imagine getting those prices in my shop! From there we went to West Liberty and I got the cutest little bicycle with training wheels all painted black with a basket of fall flowers on the front for the shop. It is adorable! Thanks for the tips. Sorry you won’t be coming to Michigan, but we will meet one of these days! Have a great week, Dawn

Oh, how I wish I could have gone to that show.
Maybe when they have one again even if I have
to make the long drive alone! Love those scissors.
Glad to hear the surgery went well for the other
grandma and that she has a speedy recovery.
Will chat with you more later.
    Blessings and Hugs!

Oh what a wonderfully prim show indeed…I would have loved to have gone with you..and thank you for the wonderful email too.;)

  • Debbie

This looked like a wonderful show and I liked the booth that made you feel like you were walking into a prim cabin too! Last weekend I watched a different version of Little House on the Prairie and was longing for a log cabin and homemade furniture too! My DH just looks at me like I am nuts! Maybe I spent too much time at camp this summer. lol

    *hugs*

    Hi,
Noticed the scissors, exactly the same ones I have! I do not know how “old” they are, but was told they are actually bonsai scissors. Lovely blog by the way.
