I was able to get some crafting done over the last couple of days, since I wasn’t needed to watch the grandkids. I can’t believe that my big Fall craft show will be here in 6 weeks…so I will be crafting every chance I get between now and then.
I embroidered 12 labels to go on some old rolling pins…
I used the words…bake, biscuits, vintage, antiques, sugar cookies, and primitives. Some are on small checked homespun and some are on small floral calico prints. I’ll share more photos as I get all the sleeves sewed onto the rolling pins…I just love how these are turning out.
I also made some pumpkins pins with the help of my sister. She has offered to come over one day a week to help me craft. We have fun crafting together…there is a lot of work getting done, but there is also a lot of laughing going on.
Even with all the silliness…we made 12 skinny pumpkin pins and 12 fat pumpkin pins.
This coming week…we hope to get some black cats and bat pins made with little jack-o-lanterns on them. And as soon as I get the rolling pins all done…I will be making some embroidered door knob bags and dish towels.
I also found an unfinished wood cut-out cat piece like one that I had made in the past…and will be making another one just like this one.
Well, I had best be going to get some rest as it is getting late here…and we have a wedding to go to tomorrow. Yes, it is the wedding for the bride that I did the alterations on her dress and made her veil. We have known this young lady since she was in 3rd grade…her and my youngest daughter played basketball and volleyball together through out their school years. Both their dads coached their basketball team from 3rd grade through 6th grade…and us parents become very good friends over the years. The mother-of-the-bride has been very teary eyed for the last couple of weeks…we’ve been teasing her about making sure that she carries a tissue box around with her tomorrow. The wedding is outside in the evening and weather is going to be great and a little cooler. Should be a perfect evening for a beautiful wedding!!
Until next time….. blessings, Cindy
