Any free time that I’ve had when not babysitting the grandkids has been spent making more goodies for my upcoming show in October.
While looking through my craft supplies…I discovered that I had a few glass jars left. So, I embroidered a couple of Fall design labels…glued them to the jar…added a homespun ribbon, rusty star, and a hang-tag…and put some good smelly potpourri in the jar.
These would be cute with candy corn in them, but I was afraid to do that for the show…thinking that the candy corn might melt if it is hot outside the weekend of the show.
I also got all the labels sewed on to the sleeves for the rolling pins. I have 4 rolling pins that look old…so I sewed the sleeves on to the pins and got them all done.
Now I need to make the 14 new, unfinished rolling pins look old and get the sleeves sewn on to them.
If you read my last post…you know that we went to the wedding on Saturday evening for the bride that I made her veil and worked on her dress. The wedding was beautiful…the colors were white with pastel yellow. I didn’t take any pictures during the ceremony, but took some at the reception…so I thought that I would give you a peek of them cutting the cake. Well…actually of them getting ready to stuff cake in each other’s face!
I hope to make more goodies for the show over the next two days…since I don’t have the grandkids again until Thursday. So, I’ll be back in a few days with more goodies to share. Until then….. blessings, Cindy
