Wow…it has been 6 days since I posted to my blog. I’ve been very busy and am still battling with the nasty cold that my sweet little grandson shared with me…and the poor little fellow still has it too!
~Crafting~ I’ve been trying to craft in any free time that I have…my first show of the season is now less than 2 weeks away and I feel like I’m so not ready for it. I did get my faux caramel apples made. These are the 24 apples that I started with….

they had a more prim look to them to start with, but this is what they looked like after making them with now just a hint of the prim apple showing.
I still need to get them put in their cute little bags, tie them up with homespun, and add a hang-tag.
I also did up some more dish towels with embroidery designs on them and almost have 5 Halloween make-dos finished up. I’ll share some pictures of them soon.
~Cheer-Leading~ Spent some time this weekend watching my favorite little cheer-leader at her cheer competition and also at the football game. This grandma is Josie’s team’s biggest fan!!

Their cheer-leading competition’s was an all day event on Saturday and the theme was “Cheer For a Cause”. Each team had raised money through out the season for their cause. Some raise money for cancer, some for domestic abuse, and some for autism. etc… They started the competition by having all the girls out on the field in a large circle…with a smaller circle of girls that had known someone who was affected by any of these causes.

A song was played for them…followed by a moment of silence in honor of or memory of those that it affected and then bunches of balloons were sent up to the sky. It was one of those moments that I won’t ever forget.

Josie’s team did very well…they got 4th place for their cheer…

3rd place for their cheer dance and they won the spirit award for the team with the most spirit. Way to go girls!!
~Country Living Fair~ On Sunday morning, we headed to the Country Living Fair…and the weather was just perfect for walking around…about mid 60′s!! A perfect Fall day.

Loved this booth. Wish I could remember their business name…her items were very cute and country…and very reasonable in price. The polka-dot pumpkins and the ones with the chalk-board paint were my favorites.

Here’s my one and only purchase from the show…
Faux Indian corn…$1.50 each. I’m planning on putting a homespun bow around them and maybe adding a hang-tag. I’ll show you what they look like on my next post after I get them all tied up together…and also show you some of my Fall decorating that I’m trying to get finished up.
Until next time….. Blessings, Cindy
