About a week and a half ago…Dawn from “Holly Hills Primitives” showed a prim angel on her blog that she had made. I emailed her to see if she still had the doll in her shop…she did and now this wonderfully prim angel is hanging on the wall in my living room. She is wearing an old white christening gown and is about 36 inches long. (Thanks Dawn…she is awesome!! I enjoyed talking to you on the phone and I can’t wait until I can come up to your shop in MI.)
She is perfect with my decorating style…I still love prims, but am going with lighter colors. I just love the weathered old white items and I really like how they stand out against my black country pieces of furniture.
On Friday, I went to a holiday craft show with my sister and a friend. We had alot of fun…my sister got my Christmas gift and gave it to me early, so that I could put it on top of our tree.
Isn’t she just the cutest little snow angel!! I’m going to leave her out all winter with my other snowmen in my ever-growing collection. Not sure why…but I’m crazy about snowmen…just love them!!
Now about the cookie cake….
I just had to show you this big “Oreo Cookie Cake” that I made to take to my sister-in-law’s for Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday evening. Needless to say…it was a big hit.
I hope to start my Christmas decorating tomorrow. I’ve been busy the last week or so working on some swap goodies, an order, and a surprise for the winner of my giveaway. Things went a little slower than planned…my embroidery program started doing crazy things. Mr D. came to my rescue…he updated my computer with a new operating system and then reinstalled the embroidery program. I happy to say that everything is working great now. So I’ll be sharing pictures of those goodies here soon…after everyone gets all their items.
Until next time….. blessings, Cindy

Both of your angels are adorable. I think they will be perfect left out longer than just the Christmas season.
How delicious does that cake look. What a cool idea. It was almost too cute to cut. I bet everyone enjoyed it to the fullest. I know I would have.
Have a blessed week Cindy.

What a lovely christening gown and such a cute prim angel! It looks great where you have it hanging. I agree, it will look fine with your black.
That adorable snow angel is going to look awesome on top of your tree! I have lots of snowmen too… lots and lots more of them than Santas. I leave mine out through the winter too. I’ve even had them up as late as early March, hehe! They are just so adorable, I hate putting them away.
Oh my, that Oreo cake looks heavenly!! I love to make (and eat!) Oreo truffles so I’m sure this tastes yummy!
