My sister sent me some pictures of her Christmas decor and I just had to share it with all of you. For those that may not know…this past year, my sister and her husband purchased their first home. The main part of the house was built in 1861 and over the years additions were added to it. The original part of the home is now the living room and that it where she set up the Christmas tree.
Here is another picture of the tree during the daytime. One of her kitties is checking out all the new decorations…
She seems to like the primitive dolls. My sister calls these two little dolls “the twins”, because she purchased one at a craft show and the next year for Christmas I purchased her the exact same one…not knowing that she had gotten one the year before.
Remember all those ornies that I made for my Christmas craft show that didn’t sale? My sister purchased some for herself and for her daughter-in-laws for Christmas. Here is how she displayed her’s…
They are in an old wood bowl with a few pieces of evergreen branches and a tiny candle in a small mason jar…too cute!! Mine is in my black 3 tier display piece on my dining room table. I’ll try to remember to take a picture to show on my next post.
I finished up most of my Christmas shopping today and plan to spend tomorrow finishing up some items that I making as gifts for family and friends. I’ll take some pictures of those things too, but I can’t show them until after Christmas because I’m not sure if any of them read my blog.
Until next time….. blessings, Cindy

I love the tree! My hubby can’t understand why I love the skinny ones but I tell him not to worry… they just make me happy. I still haven’t done much decorating here but hope to do it today.
Hope your staying warm!

Your sister has a beautiful home and how neat that it was built that long ago! Cute little story about the “twin” dolls, hehe… sounds like me and my sister.
Her wooden bowl of your ornaments is a cute display. What a neat idea to add a little mason jar and candle in the middle! I just really love those mints, very cute!
I am so glad to be back to your blog. I know I’ve already said it, but I’ve really missed you! =]
