~Wishing….~

I’m wishing for this….

but I’m seeing this out my front window!!…and more snow is on the way!!

Wishing to finish up the big embroidery job…so that I can make….

something cute…

that makes me laugh…

and brings me joy to make.

I try to make my blog a happy place for you all to come to visit, but I have to tell you that I’ve been very sad here lately. One of my best friends lost her son this past Thursday…he had been battling brain cancer for the last year and a half and we all will be saying good-bye to him on Tuesday. My heart is breaking for her and her family.

I met my friend through her son 14 years ago…my oldest daughter and him were friends and in show-choir together. We met when the director asked us if we would make all the kids dance outfits that year…and we have been friends ever since. We both share a love for sewing, crafting, and machine embroidery. She told me a story about how her son said that he could see his mom and I as little old ladies in our 80′s…sitting on the front porch together sewing. And I just know that he will be smiling down from heaven at us one day as we do just that!!

Until next time…       blessings, Cindy

So sorry to here about your friend’s son. That has to be so hard.

We have snow on the ground but nothing like you do…. but believe me I would not have minded another snow day here. I have been trying to do some painting here but not getting too far.

Hope you have a good week!

Good morning Cindy! Oh, my heart breaks for you and your friends family of the loss of her son. My deepest sympathy. As you know I lost my Dad to brain cancer in Oct. I am shocked and horrified of how many stories lately I am hearing of people with brain cancer. We know several people right now that are battling it. Very scary isn’t it! The story of you two quilting when your old is so sweet, that will always touch you. May your memories comfort you. Big hugs to you with this sad week ahead. xxxooo

My heart goes out to you and especially to your friend. It is so hard to loose someone we love. I know you have heard this already and I know it doesn’t make the pain any less, just know that your friend’s son is in a far better place with no pain and no more worries and is in the arms of all those who have ever loved him and have gone on before him.

Thank you for your post and
for letting us know what is going on in your life. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

    May God Bless you,
    Sandy

Hi Cindy….how terrible it would be to lose a child. I don’t even want to imagine it. My heart goes out to you, dear friend. What a sweet memory he left for you and your friend…sitting together on the porch.
I will pray for you, and your friend for peace.
