Just one more day until my birthday…so be sure to go back to my last post and sign up for my giveaways. Actually, I’ve already gotten a couple of birthday gifts…my mom gave me 2 pretty shirts and some cash to spend. One of my close friends gave me a couple of wonderful old things….
a small white ironstone pitcher with the letters BTC and USA stamped on the bottom and an old wooden spool. My friend thought that the pitcher was from the 50′s, but I can’t seem to find any information on it at all on-line. However I did find info on the old spool…
On either end of this spool…it says Black Diamond Silk Company, Scranton, PA and when I did some searching on-line…I came up with a hit that the company was registered with the Industrial Directory of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1916 to 1956. But I’m still not sure how old my spool is since they is no date on it.
I had almost 400 visitors to my blog today to check out my giveaway, but only 6 have sign up for a chance to win one of my 3 giveaways.
