I took a little time this past week to declutter some more…and took a few bags full of stuff to the GW. Now I have some bare walls in my living room and hallway, but it won’t be that way for long as I do have plans for redecorating those areas. I also did some rearranging in our master bedroom. However, with still having some back problems…I can only do a little bit at a time. So here is a peek at what I was able to do…
This gathering is at the other end of the dresser from where my flowers in the tin container are sitting.
I would like to redo the shelf above the bed next. My friend, Cheryl, gave me a beautiful white pitcher with red trim for my birthday and I want to put this on that shelf…but I have to stand on the bed to reach up to the shelf and I’m not sure that I should be doing that until my back is ok. So more pics of this room coming soon…I hope!
There has also been some changes going on in the dining room. It’s out with the old carpet…
…and in with the 55-year-old hardwood floors!! We were thrilled to see that they are in pretty good shape. Mr D. will need to do a little repair work to them right near the back door…it is showing some water damage there from where rain might have gotten in under the old door. We just put the new door in this past year, but with the carpet there…we had no idea that water was getting in.
I hope everyone had a great Easter. We did…went to church in the morning and then had dinner her with our girls, the grandkids and my folks here. We missed our son-in-law as he was on duty at the firehouse, but Mommy took the kids by the station so that their Daddy could see them all dressed up.
Now back to out with the old…or should I say…one “out” old Grammie!! LOL…
Until next time….. blessings, Cindy

Sweet picture of you and the little one.
I’m glad the hardwood floors are in good condition. Sometimes you never know what horrors you might find under the carpeting.

Glad you had a nice Easter and the “nap time”
picture is too cute! Your floors look like
they are in good shape, but don’t overwork
yourself getting things in order….just ease
into all this decorating you have planned.
Hugs!
