~Vintage Tablecloths…where?~

I mentioned on my last 2 posts about a vintage tablecloth that my sister gave to me. I asked if anyone had any idea where I was going to display it…and that if anyone guessed correctly, I would give them a little surprise from me.

Guess what? Someone guess correctly!!

~Vintage tablecloths…..where? ~In the bedroom?

Yes…I put the vintage tablecloth from my sister, plus another one from a thrift shop on the quilt rack in our master bedroom. I was originally thinking about putting a quilt up, but with the way the quilt rack was made…all of my quilts were too bulky to fit between the wall and the rod-iron headboard. The vintage tablecloths fit there perfectly. I showed my sister what I had done…she loved it and said that it looked liked something that you would see in Country Living magazine. Well….that made my day!!

Congrats to Gina of “Cat Nap Inn Primitives” for guessing correctly where I put the vintage tablecloths. (Gina, I will be emailing you soon about your surprise.)

Remember the old saw that I painted for my hubby’s aunt that lives in Tennessee…she sent me a photo of where she has it displayed in her home. It is hanging on the wall in her dining room with a twig berry wreath and 2 candle holders that have prim candles in them. (Linda, it looks great and I’m so thrilled that you love it.)

Be back soon with a little easy project that I did. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Until next time…….         blessings, Cindy

~My Creative Space~

I hope to get back to creating after my doctor visit on Friday…I sure am missing being in my sewing/crafting room. I have been in and out of there…getting patterns and books to look through. I’m starting to get a good idea of what I want to make for my Fall and Christmas shows this year…now I just need the ok from my doctor that it is ok to get back to work.

So here is what I missing…

~the sound of my embroidery machine running~

~getting my paint brushes down off the shelf~

~getting buttons out of the jars that sit high up on my red shelf~

~taking fabric out of my old cedar cupboard~

I also miss just being surrounded by the wonderful creations and collections that are in this room…

…many of the things were giving to me by family and friends.

If you haven’t read my last post… I’m giving someone a little surprise from me if they can figure out where I’m putting a vintage table-cloth that my sister gave to me.

Any guesses on where you think I’m going to put it. If more than one of you guess it correctly…I will be your names in a bowl and pick a winner. Can’t wait to hear where you all think that I’m putting it. You can leave your guess on this post or back on the last one. I’ll pick a winner before my next post…good luck everyone!!

Until next time…….        blessings, Cindy

~Random Pics From My Home~

Not a lot going on here…so I thought that I would share some random pics from around my home.

~glass & silver pitcher, blue ball jar with antique spools of thread, and a wooden star~

~white pitcher(from Cheryl) and a cloche filled with antique spools of thread~

~fabric pitcher(from Gina), tin water pitcher, wooly sheep(from Cheryl) and a joy sign(from my granddaughter Josie)~

~swan(from Gen) and an old sugar bucket~

~crow make-do, candlestick, and an old crock filled with fabric stars(from Karen)…and a little bluebird(from Jean)~

I’ve been taking it easy for the most part until I go back to the doctor on Friday…no sewing, crafting, or embroidery for me as I’ve been giving my back a chance to stabilize. My RLS has improved greatly since starting the new med/supplements. While taking it easy…I’ve been looking through patterns, embroidery designs, and jewelry making books getting ideas for what I want to make for my upcoming Fall shows. I’m gathering up my supplies this week and hope to get back to working on things next week.

Here is a sneak peek at what my new jewelry will be like this year…lots of vintage style.

Oh…here is the picture of the vintage pear tablecloth that my sister gave to me. I have an idea of where I’m going to put it…and guess what? I’m not going to tell you right now, but will share soon where it is going.

Any guesses on where you think I’m going to put it. There will be a surprise for whoever guesses it correctly. If more than one of you guess it…I will be your names in a bowl and pick a winner. Can’t wait to hear where you all think that I’m putting it.

Until next time…….         blessings, Cindy
