~One little, two Little, three little…mice~

Four little, five little, six little mice…Seven little, eight little mice are now all done!! I made two different sizes of the them…each one is holding a little pumpkin and has a leaf attached to the end of their tail.

~the small mouse~ He is about 6 1/2 inches tall and I made 4 of these, but sold one already.

~the large mouse~ He is about 7 1/2 inches tall and I made 4 of these.

Now I’m trying to figure out what I want to work on next. Thinking about working on the vintage style jewelry for the couple of weeks…it almost sold out last year. So I really need to get more jewelry made.

Yesterday was the start of PeeWee football season…so grandpa and I had to go watch our favorite cheerleader cheer on her team. Josie is the tall one with the dark hair. I just can’t get over that she is now in 6th grade…seems like just yesterday that she was born.

We had a good time…even though they lost the game. It was fun to watch Peyton trying to do the cheers too!! The only un-fun part is that I got a sunburn…and does it ever hurt!!

Well, I’ll be back in a few days…hopefully to share pics of the jewelry that I’ll be working on. Also to show you some goodies that I got on a day out with my friend Linda…we went down to Waynesville to the fabric store and to some prim shops.

Until next time…….         blessings, Cindy

~A Surprise In The Mail~

I received a surprise in the mail from Carmen of “Waxed Out Creative Life”. I had surprised her with a baby blanket that I made for her new grandson, Tyler…who was born on Saturday. So then she surprised me with a thank you gift…just wait until you see all the goodies that she sent.

The first thing that I saw when I opened up the box was this pretty card. Now I’m hunting for a frame to put it in…I just love this picture of the white watering can and lavender.

Next I see these amazing soaps that smell so yummy!! One is of Old Glory and the other has a goat on it. My sister loves the goat one and is trying to talk me into giving it to her…she wants to display it in an old wooden bowl in her bathroom. Since she has been helping me craft for my upcoming show, I’m thinking about letting her have it.

Carmen also gave me some primitive melting tarts and these smell very yummy too. They look like little tiny cinnamon buns. I have them sitting out on a little plate in my kitchen, because I don’t want to melt them…they are just too cute!!

Then there was this cute little package wrapped in cow print…

and when I opened it, I found the cutest animal soaps that she sent for my grandkids. The green one is a lion and the red one is an elephant. I can’t wait to give these to Josie and Peyton…they are going to love them.

It was so sweet of her to send me these…and I love everything!! (Thank you, Grandma Carmen and Congrats on your new bundle of joy…Tyler is beautiful!!)

I’ll be back in a few days to share some more goodies that I’m making for the Sauerkraut Festival that is now 6 weeks away. Until next time…….         blessings, Cindy

~Silverware Stem Pumpkins and Rooster Towel~

My sister and I spent today working on 12 pumpkins with silverware stems. We worked on them from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm and we finally got them all done.

Then I decided that I wanted them to be up on a pedestal…

but I only have 5 wood candlesticks…so I need to check out the thrift shops and the craft supply store to see if I can find some more. I do have some glass candlesticks that I might put a few of them onto. So for now…the pumpkins are sitting here waiting to be attached to the candlesticks. I’ll share more photos when I get them all on the pedestals.

If I have some time this weekend…I’m going to work on embroidering more dish towels. I did this one up for my sister-in-law for her birthday. I’m giving it to her tomorrow and I hope that she likes it.

I’m also hoping that my rusty safety pins come in the mail…so that I can finish up the candy corn mice this weekend too. I’ll be back in a couple of days to share a surprise that I received in the mail.

Have a great weekend everyone!! Until next time…….         blessings, Cindy
