I can’t begin to tell you how excited I was to win a door prize at Angie’s open house and then to find out it was a rolling-pin shelf from Firecracker Kid Primitives. Well…..let’s just say I was way beyond excited at that point. I knew I had the perfect spot to put the shelf in the dining room, so Mr D. hung it up for me when we got home on Saturday. I put the 2 Billy Jacobs pictures that I got at my Christmas show with it…one above it and one below it.
Here is another view of where it is…the shelf is on a little short wall that is right next to the opening with a half wall that looks into the kitchen. If you look closely…you can see the rooster and a basket on top of the fridge. I also see that the lights on the Christmas tree in the dining room are reflecting off the glass of the bottom picture and off the thermostat screen. I would love it have a cover for that thermostat…but we were told by the furnace guys that it is not good to put one over that kind of thermostat. (so I just try to ignore it)
I’m having a hard time figuring out what to put on the shelf above the rolling-pin. So for now…I have 2 candle jars, an old oil can, and my prim angel sitter. I’m heading to one of our local prim shops on Friday with my sister…they are having a bag sale. Love those kind…where you fill up the bag and get it all for a certain percentage off. Hmmm…maybe I’ll find something there to put up on the shelf.
Be back in a few days to share with you the rest of the goodies that I got at Angie’s Open House. If it is a little longer, don’t worry about me…I have to go to the dentist tomorrow and I’m pretty sure that I will be having a root canal done. Not what I really want to do right before Christmas.
