Mr D. and I headed out on Saturday to our first flea market of this year. It was held indoors at a huge expo center. I didn’t find too much there…got some glass beads and a couple of pendants for my interchangeable necklace.
On our way back home…we stopped by a little flea market that is very close to home. It is not usually open in February, but with this Spring like weather that we’ve been having…they opened it a month early and I did find some great goodies there.
I got this huge heavy wood band box…handmade in the late 80′s for $5.00. I’m going to paint it, but I’m not sure what color yet. I put my little tin kitchen items on top of it to hide the scary duck that was stenciled on the top of the lid…now you know why I’m painting it.
I also got 4 old tin cookie cutters for $1.00 each…to add to my collection of them that I have in a large mason jar. Sorry, but I forgot to take a picture of them before I put them in the jar.
Also picked up 6 silver spoons for .20 cents each…I want to make some of these hearts that were in Create & Decorate magazine. Not sure yet what designs I will put on the hearts, but I don’t think it will be the ones in this picture. Well…maybe the bird.
My last goodie that I”m sharing is from my day out junking with a friend one day last week. Got this wood masher for $3.00. Not sure that it is old…the wood looks too light. I’m going to rub a little gel stain on it and then sit it will the other 2 masher that I have. Guess I have a collection…because I now have 3 of them. LOL…
Just wanted to share with you that latest photo that I took of little Zoey. She has gotten a little bigger…weighed 2 lbs 4 oz when we got her and she now weighs 4 lbs. And I’m so thrilled to say…She is a bow wearer!!
Zoey went with us to the Flea Markets…we wanted to get her out for some socializing among people. Needless to say, everyone loved her!!
I felt bad for Chloe, but we left her at home.
She is having problems with her trachea collapsing and it gets worse when she gets real excited. She is on medicine for it and is doing somewhat better. We are hoping that Chloe can go with us on our next outing.
Until next time……. blessings, Cindy
