~Cupcakes and Puppies~

Well…it’s been a while since I last posted, but there hasn’t been much going on around here. I am working on some goodies for a swap, so I can’t share any of that just yet.

My niece will be having all of the family over at her house this year for Easter dinner and she asked if I would like to bring some desert. She loved the cupcakes that I had made for Peyton’s birthday and wanted to know if I would make some to bring to her house.

So I got out all of my cupcake books….had alot of fun looking thru them…

and decided that Easter basket cupcakes would be perfect to take for our Easter family gathering. Now the hard part…waiting until closer to Easter to make them.

I did find a few of the items that I needed to make them. Picked up the cupcake holders that will be the basket part…found them at Hobby Lobby. I still have to find the chocolate licorice twists for the handles. We have an old fashion candy store here in town and I’m hoping that they have them there.

And I found a wonderful way to store all of my cupcake holders…I found this idea on someone’s cupcake blog, but I’ve lost the link to it.

I also picked up the candy eggs and I have told everyone that they can not eat any of these until after I make the cupcakes. No sneaking in the candy at all…nope…none!!

Today…Chloe and little Zoey got to go bye-bye, because they needed to go to the groomers for a haircut. Chloe looked so cute and proud to be wearing her pretty new green scarf.

And look at little Zoey…poor thing had to lose all of her pretty long fur. She was losing her puppy fur and it was getting matted with her new adult coat that was growing in. As hard as I tried to keep up with combing out the matted puppy fur…more of it just kept matting. She had a cute scarf on too…but she was able to get it in her mouth and wouldn’t stop chewing on it.

Poor thing looks so funny…skinny body with a big head. Luckily, her fur will grow back and she won’t look so silly. Well, it is a cute silly…don’t you think?

Until next time…….         blessings, Cindy

What fun and cute cupcakes! Your dogs are cute, too! I wish I could put bandanas on my dogs, but I know one would grab the other’s scarf and start playing tug of war and then chaos.

You have a lot of books just on cupcakes! With little ones still at home, I really should make up some of those cute cupcakes but I just slather on the icing and add a few sprinkles. The baskets you picked out are going to be so cute! Makes me want one right now, lol.

I saw a similar idea on Pinterest to hold the cupcake papers. I found a jar that I wasn’t using anymore and put all of mine in there. It was so nice to clean that area up and get rid of all the plastic bags/labels that the cupcakes come in. Every time I would buy a pack, I would just throw them on the shelf with the others. Then every time I wanted to make cupcakes, I would have to pull down all those packs just to see what I had. I LOVE the idea of them all being in one jar where I can see them all at once. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that but glad someone did and shared it, lol. Plus it’s pretty to look at it, isn’t it? =]

Chloe is so pretty in green and Zoey is adorable too even though she looks so skinny, hehe!

Have a terrific week, my friend~
