Welcome to my blog…I am a crafter and a junker. When I’m not crafting…you can find me looking for goodies at thrift shops, junk stores, garage sales, and the flea markets to use in my craft creations or my vintage style jewelry line…or to decorate my home with.
I’ve been crafting and sewing for as long as I can remember…but started my business back in October of 1985 when I did my first craft show. I have a passion making vintage style jewelry and for machine embroidery…specializing in items for your home, such as pillows, kitchen towels, table runners, samplers, bowl fillers, and seasonal items. I love what I do and it gives me great joy to share my passion for designing and creating with all of you.
Thanks for stopping by my blog to visit me.

Hey there Cindy,
I just noticed your wonderful entry on my blog..so I thought I would drop by your blog for a visit…I am so hooked on embroidering..and you never would have heard that come out of my mouth 2 years ago…thanks for the tips on the towels at the dollar store, have it on my list of things to buy…I would keep your old machine if they can fix it so you can be using both machines at the same time..I have a pfaff sewing machine and the embroidery machine is a husqvarna scandinavia 400. it is a sewing/embroidery machine..so I sew on on and embroider on the other…do you have a great website that you visit to buy your designs..my favorite is emblibrary.com they are cheap and they have a sale every week…can’t stay away from them…its an addiction…cute puppys too..went through your entire blog…I love it..its in my favorites and now will be on my blog too..have a good one and keep in touch..it would be nice to bounce ideas off of you…and visa versa…

Gina,
Thanks for visiting my blog. I also am hooked on embroidery. I’ve loved it since I got my first sewing/embroidery machine about 13 years ago. I’ve been designing a few of my own designs for the last few years and hope to maybe sale them someday.
Look forward to chatting with you again soon.

Hey there Again Cindy,
you have 2 nice machines…we got hooked last fall when we decided to take a class using the designer SE’s and fell in love…my best friend bought one on the spot for $4800.00…to rich for my tastes..so I then bought a huskystar em10 big piece of crap in my opinion…so I upgraded to a scandinavia 300 then the 400…I would love the SE but my crafting has got to bring me in more money to warrant it..I would love to win the big Diamond..they had a drawing..that would be nice…lol….my mom used to do her embroidery by hand when we were younger and I am going to send her a sweatshirt with embroider all over it..she will be amazed and astounded…that a push of a button does all of this..I would love to see your designs…what other mediums do you embroider on? I would love to see them to get ideas or inspiration…have a wonderful day..”)

WOW is all I can say..I love the neat ways you used the embroidery..and I LOVE THAT DRESS!!! you did a fantabulous job..what a lot of work..folks just don’t realize what it takes to embroider..sure the machine does it, but you still have to babysit the machine to make sure the thread doesn’t break…etc…thanks for sharing…I am making purses right now..when I am done I will be blogging them…take care…

HI,
I read that you were going to paint your kitchen creamy white with a glaze. I am doing that also. Do you have a picture of yours?

Hi Jean,
Thanks for visiting my blog. I have a few photos of my kitchen with the cabinets painted white with a dark stain rubbed on the top of them…but they actually show up whiter than they really are in the photos. I think it is from the flash of the camera. The pictures are in the post on July 2nd.
I’ve taken some time off from finishing the kitchen to get items made for my craft show season this fall. I hope to finish it soon and will post photos then and I hope that the antiquing shows up better.

I am interested in coming to the Urbana show. Would love to come see your things in person.. Is that show a prim show??? I have never been there but sometimes go past that town on the way to the Springfield flea market…. Sandi

HI,thanks for commenting on my blog. I got the little skinny trees on ebay last year. Someone sold a whole lot of them for next to nothing, now of course, I can’t find anymore. I love them.
Your trip pictures were great, I love the mountains.
take care,
