I’m happy to say that Spring has finally sprung here…
I’ve seen some robins in the yard, the grass is getting greener, and soon the trees will be blooming. Unfortunately…along with Spring arriving, so has my allergies!! My head is hurting, my nose is running, and my eyes are pouring out the water. I have rubbed my eyes so much that it hurts me to touch the skin under my eyes. But I’m still thrilled that Spring is finally here!
I have put away the vintage Easter eggs that I had out…but have left my white rabbits out and I added the prettiest bird’s nest with them that my blogging friend, Cheryl, sent to me for my birthday.
Cheryl also made me this wonderful necklace out of some flat-ware that was her mother’s. Oh my…it is so pretty!! I’ve been wearing my necklace for the last few days and have gotten lots of complements on it. Thank you, dear friend…I love my birthday gifts and I can’t wait to see you at your show this month!!
It is so nice out today, that I think it is time to put some things back out onto the front porch.
That is…if my head will stop hurting, my nose will stop running, and my eyes will stop pouring out the water.
Welcome to Spring in Ohio!!
Until next time……. blessings, Cindy

My birthday is on Friday and I’m having a giveaway…but wait, not just one giveaway. How about 2 giveaways…because it is also my 5 year blogiversary at the beginning of April.
Now to what I’m giving away…each winner will get one of my Vintage Style Repurposed Necklaces.
I use bits and pieces of old broken jewelry with new jewelry findings and scrap-booking supplies in my jewelry pieces.
I mix silver, gold, and bronze chains and findings together as I love the vintage feel that it gives my necklaces. Some necklaces have leather or suede cords.
I love going to thrift shops, garage sales, and flea markets to find those old unwanted pieces of jewelry that make my necklaces a one of a kind.
Now just a couple of things about my giveaway…
I would love it if you want to become a follower of my blog, but all you have to do to enter my giveaway is to leave a comment on this post and tell me which necklace you like the best. If you don’t have a blog…please make sure that you have your email enabled or put it in your comment, so that I can contact you should you be one of the winners. I will pick the winners on my birthday on Friday.
Best of luck to everyone that enters…. blessings, Cindy
I’m joining Dru from “The Country Farm Home” and Cindy from “Olde Time Farmhouse” for “Country Whites Weekend”.
Since I can’t wait for Spring to get here…I’ve decided to share my “Country Whites” for Springtime. As most of you know, I’m loving the farmhouse style and want a more simple feel to my decor. When I went searching for the box with Spring decor in it…I realized that I really didn’t have anything anymore to put out. So what is a girl to do when that happens…she goes shopping.
I decided that I wanted a couple of simple white rabbits. Now…one would think that this would be an easy thing to find…NOT!! I went to every store around here and had no luck…until I went to Hobby Lobby. But did I find white rabbits…Nope…just gray and off white ones. Well…guess what I did? Purchased a gray rabbit and an off white rabbit…and went home and painted them “Country White”!!
The only other Spring decor that I put out was these vintage white paper eggs with tiny flowers on them. My mother-in-law has a friend, Elsie, that is in her 90′s now, but she had her friend make me these eggs many years ago. I also have some Christmas ornaments that Elsie made and she also made the topper to our wedding cake over 33 years ago. All of these pieces are very special to me.
See the little white candle stick with the bird’s nest on it…my blogging friend, Cheryl, gave that to me last year when I got meet her in person at a show she was doing. I just love it!! (Thanks, Cheryl)
I also put some tiny “Country White” flowers in my door pocket. Maybe that will help Spring to get here just a little faster!!
Hope you’ll go check out everyone’s “Country Whites” this weekend over at…

Until next time……. country blessings, Cindy
