~Country White Barns~

I’m joining Cindy from “Old Time Farmhouse” and  Dru from “The Country Farm Home”  for Country Whites Weekend… and nothing says country whites like these old white barns.

The barn in the above photo is somewhere in Kentucky. We were on our way home from a trip and pulled over to the side of the road…can’t remember what we pulled over for, but I remember that we got stuck in the mud and couldn’t get out. Luckily, a very nice farmer that lived on this road pulled us out.

Not sure, but I think this barn was in Kentucky too.

All the rest of these white barns are from the county that is north of us here in Ohio.

You can take a tour of all the barns that have quilt squares on them.

So one Saturday, we pack a picnic lunch and headed north to see all the beautiful quilt barns.

It looks like this old white barn had been turned into their home.

And this barn had a little ice cream cone stand out in front of it…too sweet!

Hope you all enjoyed the tour of some old country white quilt barns.

Hope you will head over to check out “Country Whites Weekend #7” at Cindy’s and Dru’s blogs.

Evening Cynthia, I LOVE this post!! Barns have a big part of my heart!! You say these are mostly north Ohio…..how far north? I’m between Cinti and Dayton……are we close by each other? That would be nice!! Like the story how a farmer pulled you out of the mud……too many people wouldn’t do that anymore….LOVE the Farmer! Blessings~~~sweet post~~~Roxie

I never knew there were barns with quilt designs painted on them available to tour. They definitely look charming! That looks like a pretty rural area.

What a wonderful collection of white barns, Cindy. Of course, I loved all the barn quilts! We don’t have many white barns in this area–nor barn quilts–so it was a treat for me. Thank you for sharing them with others at our Country Whites Weekend! We so appreciate you!
    Blessings from the Farmhouse,
    Dru

Barns tug at my heart a little. We really need to get together some time when you are in KY or I’m up in Ohio! Thanks for sharing at Country Whites Weekend!
